Are you in the market for some new irons
I went and demoed a few sets today and came away impressed with the callaway x22 they were discounted and had graphite shafts for under $100. I currently have Cobra II oversize irons in my bag. I talked to a few guys at the course and they were rather snobs about it saying they never heard of them and you can't get a good set of clubs for that price and was told to stick with what I got.
I have a slow swing speed and feel I would benefit from the graphite shafts. Would I be better off getting a different brand or just keep looking.
May also want to have a look at ebuyyoyo website, lots of callaway stuff in clearance section for good prices (till they run out...) callaway made very high quality gear and was a victim of the economy- have gamed their irons for years (4DX Pros and Arc blades) and would stack them up against anything out there, great feel/distance and very forgiving. Anyone who claims they are a "cheap" brand is pretty uninformed.
I think that if you can get past the "club snobs" you will be very happy with the gear. Those same guys would probably be showing them off after dropping $900.00 on the irons if they had stayed in business...
If you can snag the callaway driver it is an absolute bomber- evolver version is adjustable and the shaft can be swapped in seconds... lots available at the moment but once the supply runs out they will be gone unfortunately

Cheap Golf Clubs
So many people like playing golf, not all of them are rich. So, they may think of buying cheap or downright discount golf clubs.
Most people hate paying too much for the items they obtain, as a matter of fact, you will be frustrated if you discover that you overpaid for something. In order to reduce this problem, you should learn how to choose a right store and how to bargain with the shopkeeper. Just like you want to buy set of golf clubs, you should go several stores, and make compared them carefully, then you make the decision.
Most golfers don’t earn much money, so they demand the most value from their cash. But, they don’t mind paying for top quality.
I may not have a ton of cash to spend on golf equipment, but I demand the greatest quality for the dollars spent as a rule. And so should you – if you’re an intelligent shopper, that is.
When golfers purchases golf clubs, they usually tend to shop around in a complete and almost compulsive fashion, comparing specifications and the prices before they lay down the cash. One of the priorities is to get the superb products for money, and don’t necessarily have to get the absolute cheapest club on the page of the website. Some cheap golf clubs still satisfied many golfers, and there are many cheap golf clubs for sale.
Cheap golf clubs – you don’t have to spend a lot of money, but make sure you get the best value your money can buy. For example, you want to buy a taylormade r9 irons, before you buy it, you can scan several stores, make sure that witch one is the best, and after some experiences, you will become a intelligent shopper, and you will never overspend your budget.

Wood is mainly used for kick-off, Wood is characterized by shaft length, It’s relatively light head convenient for swing. Although modern driver has been called wood, in fact more than 70 percent of the drivers has been made of metal. In general. Drivers are usually 10 cm long.
Woods is divided into four kinds, named, wood No.1(Driver), wood No,3(Spoon). wood No. 4 (Buffy), wood No.5(Cleek). The Smaller the number is, the longer and lighter the shaft is.
(B) Iron
Irons is actually made from stainless steel , Casting made in the outer edge of the increased iron have a greater sweet spot (Sweetspot). Most die-hard stainless steel shaft has a different shaft flexibility. Iron is usually the length of 95 centimeters.
The feature is easy-to-iron shot to keep the direction of the thrust is to use golf shot hit the ball close to goal, thus ensuring the maximum direction, so hit the ball even before they achieve the target goal of at least near the primary objective. Iron ball with a soft iron parts manufacturing, and its bottom is smaller than the wood at the bottom, but also not as thick woods short length. Overcoming fairway wood phobia is easy with practi
Have you ever noticed that the most demanding shot, the fairway wood, is generally the most commonly used in women’s golf? This means that to score well, you will need to be relatively proficient with your fairway woods. To make these shots even harder, many of the finer golf courses cut the fairway grass very short, also requiring more a more precise golf swing.
Here are some suggestions to improving your fairway woods:
Check you ball position
Your ball position for a fairway wood should be just left of the center of your stance, or in line with the left logo on your shirt. Notice this is not as far left as your ball position would be if you were hitting a wood from a tee. This places the ball in the flatter part of the golf swing and should make it easier to sweep the ball off of the turf.
Use a more lofted fairway wood
Do you remember when Callaway came out with the Heavenwood? It was basically a 7 wood with a longer shaft. The 7 wood is a very friendly fairway wood that should still provide you with respectable distance, but the club’s added loft and not overly long shaft make it easier to experience more success. Choose a fairway wood that you can actually have success and for the little bit of distance you might sacrifice; you will probably gain right back in your increased consistency.
Be sure that your practice swings sweep the grass
Your practice swing should sweep the grass. If your practice swing does not sweep the grass, you are in essence practicing topping the ball, and you should take another until you do brush the turf. My preference is that if you do take a practice swing, you only take one. So if missing the turf and re-swinging becomes a constant occurrence, actually practice your practice swings. A great goal is to be able to take 10 practice swings in a row that sweep the grass.
Try the scrape drill
A great drill to help improve contact for fairway woods is the scrape drill. You will do this without a golf ball. Start in your address position and take no backswing. Practice scraping the grass toward the target on a slight semi-circle to the left for about 12 to 18 inches. The club head should be low to the ground like on a normal fairway wood shot, so this will help you to feel the proper motion.
